Showing people the Big Five Large
collection made me realize that there is also a need for similar
smaller designs. As a result, the Big Five Small Drawings collection
was 'born'. I used the same photographs and more or less the same
thread colors. However, in order to get the same kind of detail into
such a small space, the digitizing had to be approached differently.
Where the Big Five
Large collection has fill areas, the embroidery
designs in the Big Five Small Drawings collection is 'drawn',
stitch by stitch, using the different thread colors. The result is
five very lifelike animal designs with a wide range of application
To obtain the best results for this embroidery collection,
keep the following in mind:
- The color charts for these embroidery designs are the result
of careful planning and experimenting with various color
combinations. Therefore, do yourself a favor and use the right
colors if you want to obtain the best results.
- Due to the technique used, some areas in the designs are not
solid. However, the lower stitch density allows you to use a wider
variety of fabrics.
